Why Vibes was named a Leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant

Gartner MQ Recap

It’s official -- we have been named a Leader in the 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Mobile Marketing Platforms research report. This advancement into leadership status is based on our ability to execute and the completeness of our intended vision as the provider of an unparalleled platform for people with the brands they love.

The news comes on the heels of Gartner’s 2018-2019 CMO Spend Survey, which found that 68 percent of CMOs expect to increase investment in mobile marketing in 2019--an indicator that demand continues to increase for mobile engagement platforms like Vibes. And, a great customer experience, measurable revenue growth, and real-time customer engagement--all core strengths of the Vibes offering--are the top reasons brands are investing in mobile marketing platforms, according to the 2019 Magic Quadrant for Mobile Marketing Platforms.

As one of only four companies to achieve the coveted Leader status -- and the only company to advance into that position this year -- we are cited in the report for having “the resources and acumen to deliver extensive mobile marketing capabilities, and [being] guided by a clear, comprehensive view of mobile marketing’s crucial role as the dominant engagement point for customers and prospects.”

In addition, Gartner observes that Leaders like Vibes “have executed a substantial number of implementations across a variety of industries. They push their customers toward more advanced states of mobile marketing capabilities. Leaders are equally successful in B2B and B2C marketing scenarios.”

Vibes launched in 1998 to connect people with the brands they love through mobile devices. Twenty years later, we’re proud to live at the top of the marketing technology stack, leading the charge in mobile engagement. We expand mobile’s scope to reach beyond a base-level app by tapping channels including messaging, push notifications, mobile wallet, as well as conversational commerce via chatbots inside messaging apps.

Through our work in the space, we’ve achieved some impressive milestones along the way: we launched the first Text-2-Screen campaigns for sporting events in the U.S., we’ve raised two rounds of institutional funding -- both from a single investor, in 2010 we sent our one billionth text message, and we’ve made several strategic acquisitions. Our Leaders status within this Magic Quadrant is largely thanks to continued momentum through a wealth of new product offerings this year. Here’s a snapshot of the new tools and capabilities Vibes has recently ushered in for brand marketers, and the ultimate success they saw as a result:

  • Conversational Analytics, the industry's first Natural Language Processing (NLP) solution, extracts deep consumer insights from the unstructured messaging content to help marketers see which mobile experiences provide meaningful connections with consumers. Conversational Analytics and Advanced Analytics are both solutions available within the Vibes AI-Driven Marketing Suite

  • Vibes Everywhere Commerce, a next generation product built to support multichannel mobile campaigns versus app-centric programs. This product enables marketers to more  readily connect with consumers at their moment of mobile interest, and optimize their multichannel journey.

Today’s consumer brands -- from fast food chains and restaurants to apparel stores -- are facing stiff competition. Brands with brick-and-mortar storefronts need to find new ways to remain competitive and relevant with their customers in the digital world, and bridging the gap between the in-store and digital experience is a top priority. Vibes addresses this problem by connecting people with their favorite brands, driving them to redeem loyalty offers in-store through SMS, MMS, RCS, push notifications and mobile wallet.
